Binance VIP 1 is the first paid tier of the Binance VIP Program, designed for active spot and futures traders who have surpassed the regular user threshold. Following the March 2026 update, Binance lowered the entry barrier significantly, making VIP 1 attainable for a broader range of participants.
VIP 1 Requirements (2026 Updated)
To qualify for Binance VIP 1, you must meet one of the following conditions during a rolling 30-day evaluation window, alongside a minimum BNB holding:
- Spot Trading Volume: ≥ $1,000,000 USD (30-day)
- Futures Trading Volume: ≥ $5,000,000 USD (30-day) — reduced from $15M in March 2026
- BNB Holding: ≥ 5 BNB daily average — reduced from 25 BNB in March 2026
The Holder Program also allows users to qualify for VIP 1 by maintaining a 30-day average net asset balance of $500,000 USD with at least 5 BNB.
VIP 1 Trading Fees
Once you reach VIP 1, your spot trading fees are reduced from the standard 0.10% / 0.10% (maker/taker) to 0.09% / 0.09%. Holding BNB provides an additional 25% discount on eligible spot trades, effectively lowering your rate further. Futures fees for VIP 1 are similarly discounted compared to regular users.
VIP 1 Benefits
Beyond reduced fees, Binance VIP 1 members receive:
- Higher API rate limits for automated trading strategies
- Increased withdrawal limits per 24-hour period
- Access to the exclusive VIP Portal dashboard
- Priority customer support queue
- Eligibility for VIP-only promotions and events
How VIP Levels Update
Binance evaluates VIP status daily at 08:00 UTC. Your 30-day rolling volume and BNB balance are assessed automatically. If you meet the criteria, your account is upgraded immediately — no manual application required. You can check your current VIP status by logging into your Binance account and visiting the VIP Portal under "My Dashboard."
Tips to Maintain VIP 1 Status
Maintaining VIP 1 requires consistent trading activity or asset holding. Practical strategies include: merging sub-account trading volumes into your master account (sub-account volumes count toward the master), holding at least 5 BNB to satisfy the holding requirement even during lower-volume months, and using both spot and futures trading to diversify your contribution to the 30-day totals.
VIP 1 is where the fee savings start to compound meaningfully for active traders executing hundreds of thousands of dollars in monthly volume.
For users not yet meeting VIP 1 thresholds, Binance's new VIP Rising Star designation provides early access to curated support for accounts with $30,000+ in net assets and 5+ BNB. This is an ideal stepping stone toward full VIP status.
