Understanding Binance VIP requirements is the first step toward unlocking lower fees and premium services. The program offers multiple pathways to qualification: Trader VIP (based on trading volume), Holder VIP (based on asset holdings), Investor VIP (based on Binance Earn participation), and Borrower VIP (based on loan volume). All tiers update automatically on a daily basis.
Trader VIP Requirements (2026)
Trader VIP is based on your accumulated 30-day spot or futures trading volume combined with a minimum BNB holding. After the March 2026 update:
- VIP 1: ≥ $1,000,000 spot OR ≥ $5,000,000 futures + ≥ 5 BNB
- VIP 2: ≥ $5,000,000 spot OR ≥ $10,000,000 futures + ≥ 25 BNB
- VIP 3: ≥ $20,000,000 spot OR ≥ $50,000,000 futures + ≥ 100 BNB
- VIP 4: ≥ $75,000,000 spot OR ≥ $250,000,000 futures + ≥ 200 BNB

Holder VIP Requirements (2026)
The Holder Program was expanded in March 2026 to cover up to VIP 9, allowing users to qualify based on asset holdings and Binance Earn participation without needing high trading volume:
- VIP 1: ≥ $500,000 in assets + ≥ 5 BNB (30-day average)
- VIP 2: ≥ $1,500,000 in assets + ≥ 25 BNB
- VIP 3: ≥ $3,000,000 in assets + ≥ 100 BNB
- VIP 4: ≥ $6,000,000 in assets + ≥ 200 BNB
- VIP 5–9: Progressively higher asset and BNB thresholds (contact VIP team for details)
VIP Rising Star Requirements
Before reaching VIP 1, users with ≥ $30,000 in net assets and ≥ 5 BNB qualify for the VIP Rising Star designation, which provides early support and event access to accelerate their path to full VIP status.
Investor VIP Requirements
The Investor VIP track is for users with significant holdings in Binance Simple Earn Locked Products or Dual Investment. Eligibility requires a 30-day average subscription amount ≥ $250,000 plus a minimum BNB holding.
Binance evaluates VIP eligibility daily at 08:00 UTC. Meeting the criteria at any point in the 30-day window is sufficient — the system looks at the trailing 30-day average, not a single snapshot.
Sub-Account Volume Aggregation
One important aspect of Binance VIP requirements is that trading volumes and asset balances from sub-accounts linked to a master account are aggregated for VIP level calculation. This means institutions or traders operating multiple accounts can combine their activity to reach higher tiers faster.
